Meet Christina

(she, her, hers)

Christina is a dedicated Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with aspirations to further her education by obtaining a Doctoral degree in Psychology. With a background in Deaf Education, she holds a Master's degree and has served as a teacher for the Deaf for six years.

Graduating from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, Christina gained valuable experience through an internship at St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo, NY. Her passion for supporting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community was ignited by the lack of tailored mental health resources she observed in Texas during her teaching tenure. This experience motivated her to explore avenues to assist her students and their families in their mental health journeys.

Christina's therapeutic approach is trauma-focused, with a particular emphasis on Thought Reframing. In May 2021, she published her first book, "Reframe in Real-time: Stopping a Negative Thought in its Tracks," demonstrating her commitment to helping others cultivate a positive outlook on life.

Excited to embark on a new chapter with My Deaf Therapy, Christina looks forward to applying her expertise to serve her clients and address their unique needs.
