Meet Lucy
(she, her)
Lucy Taylor is a hard-of-hearing counseling intern committed to providing compassionate and supportive care to all individuals. Lucy has always been inspired to work in the mental health field, further promoted by her work with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gallaudet University, Lucy utilizes a client-centered approach to help clients explore their strengths and navigate life's challenges, while incorporating dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and solution-focused strategies. She is passionate about fostering a safe and empowering space for self-discovery and healing, allowing clients to take the initiative of their care. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with focuses in Public Health and Sociology, from Gallaudet University (2022).
In her personal life, Lucy enjoys relaxing with a good book after a long day and going out to explore nature. Traveling the world with her husband is a life goal of Lucy’s, hoping to complete more countries off her bucket list in the coming years.
