Meet Kristin
(she, hers)
Kristin Kingsley is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at My Deaf Therapy and a graduate student at Gallaudet University, where she is pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (expected May 2027). Originally from New York, she brings a strong personal and professional connection to the Deaf community. As a SODA (Sibling of a Deaf Adult), she has been immersed in Deaf culture from an early age.
Kristin holds an associate’s degree in American Sign Language from Nassau Community College and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Brooklyn College. She has several years of experience working with children with diverse developmental and communication needs and currently works in an inclusive childcare center.
Kristin is especially passionate about trauma-informed care with children, as well as supporting couples and families in navigating relational and life transitions. She is committed to creating a Deaf-centered, linguistically accessible, and culturally affirming therapeutic environment, and values building genuine connections that support growth and healing.
