Meet Samantha

(she, her, hers)

Samantha Manega is a deaf Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) from the DMV area. She is passionate about mental health, with clinical interests in anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), chronic illness, and trauma. Samantha is particularly interested in how these experiences impact the mind, body, and overall sense of well-being, and how healing can occur when these areas become more aligned.

Samantha takes a collaborative and empowering approach, meeting clients where they are while also gently challenging them to support growth and meaningful change. Her therapeutic style is flexible, personable, and empathetic, creating a safe and validating space for clients to explore their experiences. She is guided by the belief that “the only way out is through,” supporting clients in building resilience and working toward lasting change.

Her clinical approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and somatic trauma-informed practices. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including older adults and those in end-of-life stages of care.

Samantha is committed to providing care within a Deaf-centered, linguistically accessible, and culturally affirming therapeutic environment.

She is currently accepting clients in Colorado, Maryland, and Virginia. Her pronouns are she/her/hers.
