Meet Catarina

(she, her)

Catarina Chiaramonte (she/her) is a hearing counseling intern currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Gallaudet University, with an expected graduation of May 2027. She holds a Bachelor of Philosophy (BPhil) in Psychology and a certificate in ASL from the University of Pittsburgh. 

 

Catarina has over three years of experience working in a specialized school for the deaf and holds a certification in Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI). Catarina has additional experience working in a psychology research lab investigating child development and parent-child interactions. 

 

Catarina’s philosophy of care is person-centered and holistic, and she believes that all aspects of an individual’s experience are deeply interconnected and interdependent. She supports clients in identifying and building on their strengths so they can effectively navigate the environments in which they live, work, and play. She celebrates and affirms all identities and neurotypes. Catarina is passionate about supporting kids, families and young adults, and she believes that you are never too young to benefit from therapy.
