Meet Dominique
(she, her, hers)
Dominique is a Deaf Licensed Associate Art Therapist (LAAT) who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). She is passionate about supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in their unique healing processes through creative and expressive approaches.
Dominique uses art therapy as a primary modality to help clients explore, express, and process emotions that may be difficult to access through language alone. She incorporates creative expression, somatic awareness, and grounding techniques to support clients in navigating intense emotions and deepening their connection to themselves. Her work emphasizes collaboration, allowing each client’s needs, values, and goals to shape the therapeutic process.
Dominique prioritizes building a strong, authentic therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, safety, and nonjudgment. She brings a warm, compassionate, and curious presence to her work, creating a space where clients feel supported in exploring both their conscious and unconscious experiences.
As a BIPOC Deaf woman, Dominique holds a deep understanding of the systemic and lived experiences of individuals with multiple marginalized identities. She integrates a culturally affirming and empowerment-based approach, supporting clients in strengthening self-awareness, self-worth, and connection to their voice.
Dominique is committed to providing care within a Deaf-centered, linguistically accessible, and culturally affirming therapeutic environment.
She is currently accepting clients in the District of Columbia and New Jersey. Her pronouns are she/her/hers.
